PROFILE OF THE REGISTRAR


Dr. Cynthia Sena Kpeglo

Dr. Cynthia Sena Kpeglo is the current Registrar of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho. She is an astute, seasoned, results-oriented, team-spirited educationist, and a principled University Administrator. Prior to becoming the Registrar of UHAS, Dr. Kpeglo worked in the University of Cape Coast (UCC), rising through the ranks from Junior Assistant Registrar in 2000 to Deputy Registrar in August 2012.

Over the past seven years as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UHAS, Dr. Kpeglo has exhibited excellent leadership and organizational skills, which have enabled her to head the operations of the newly established university to achieve visibility in the tertiary educational enterprise. Her proven research and analytical skills, as well as her strong managerial and administrative skills have facilitated the building of effective and functional institutional structures that promote productivity in the work environment.

Dr. Kpeglo believes in creativity and innovation. She has great interpersonal skills with which she nurtures and fosters enthusiasm of the work force to build a strong human resource base towards goal achievement. She is endowed with the ability to articulate her beliefs persuasively and effectively to facilitate decision making. She is committed to developing leadership qualities in her direct reports and to providing an environment of collegiality and professionalism for institutional growth.

Dr. Kpeglo is a proud gem and alumna of OLA Girls Secondary School Ho, the University of Cape Coast, (UCC) and the Florida A & M University (FAMU), Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Her area of expertise is Educational Leadership and Administration. She is a member of notable administration and management associations both local and international. She has served on numerous committees and consulted in various public universities in Ghana as an assessor for the selection of key officers. She has published a number of academic papers in journals and attended many international and local conferences, where she has shared her experience in her field of specialisation and received awards.

Dr. Kpeglo is a Professional Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC). She is a staunch Baptist, a dedicated wife, and mother to three children and many other wards.
