Member of Parliament for Hohoe constituency and Minister for Railway Development, Hon. John Peter Amewu has donated five i5 all-in-one desktop computers to the University. A delegation led by Mr. Castro Amenuveve, an aide to the Minister, made the donation on behalf of the Minister.

Mr. Amenuveve, said the donation was the minister’s widow’s mite in assisting the young university to thrive and also help build a healthy relationship between them.

Hon. Amewu who has been a staunch supporter of the university also promises to support the University as and when the need arises.

Professor Lydia Aziato, Vice Chancellor, expressed appreciation for the timely gesture and expressed the hope of continuing to grow their relationship. “We are very grateful for the Minister’s concern for the University and we hope that this will not be the end of his support to UHAS”.

Ms. Yaa Amankwaa Opuni, the Registrar, recounted previous support the University has received from Hon. Amewu especially towards the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health in Hohoe.

“He is very much concerned about the University and has expressed interest in the ongoing project on our new site at Fodome in making sure government releases funds to complete the project”.
