The Human Resource Directorate of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho has organized a day Training Workshop on Career Development and Progression and Performance Management for Senior Staff of the University on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the School of Basic Biomedical Sciences (SBBS) Auditorium, Main Campus, Sokode-Lokoe near Ho.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. David Adzovie, the Director of Human Resource Directorate and also the Resource Person for the workshop, informed participants that as part of efforts to improve upon the human capital of administrative staff, the workshop seeks to among other things “...equip senior staff with knowledge on how to develop their career in a dynamic environment.”
He therefore urged participants to take the training seriously in order to gain the requisite knowledge and skills. He assured the participants of more of such training opportunities for them in particular and the University community in general.
In the course of the training session, Mr Adzovie briefed the participants on efforts of his Directorate in championing the development and implementation of policies that will ensure an enabling working environment for the growth of various careers for UHAS’ diverse workforce. He also took the participants through the newly developed UHAS Performance Management System.
Acknowledging the efforts of the Human Resource Directorate in particular and Management in general, Mr. Kwesi Hagan, Chairman of the Federation of Senior Staff Association, UHAS Local (FUSSAG-UHAS) expressed the Association’s gratitude to Management for endeavouring to address the many human resource challenges that confront FUSSAG-UHAS members.
In all, about 104 senior staff from various schools, directorates, departments and units of the University participated in the workshop.
Present at the workshop from the Human Resource Directorate were Mr Johnson Azorlibu, Junior Assistant Registrar, Ms Delali Adonu, Principal Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Charity Osei-Atteh, Principal Administrative Assistant and Mr. Martin Tsenu Kumah, Senior Administrative Assistant.
