Wednesday 10 February 2021, Mr. Edward Ayekpley, Volta Regional Director of the Ghana Audit Service paid a courtesy call on UHAS Vice chancellor, Professor John Owusu Gyapong, at his office.

According to Mr. Ayekpley, his visit was part of a familiarisation tour to get acquainted with institutions he would be working with. In light of UHAS contributions to the management of COVID-19, he also enquired of the devastating effect of the pandemic in the Volta Region.

The Vice Chancellor welcomed Mr. Ayekpley to UHAS, saying that he has high expectations of a cordial working relationship between the two offices. He took time to outliner the dangers and risks associated with coronavirus. He said, the figures recorded in Volta Region are similar to those recorded across the country, and reiterated the need for everyone to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols, including handwashing, social distancing, and use of face masks to mitigate the risk of infection.
