As said that a journey of 1000 miles begins with a step and every point of entry to a place has same means of exit. The UHAS SRC Chaplaincy Committee last Sunday organized a joint service in honor of the pioneers and final year students of this University. It was joy and good feeling during the service as these finalists expressed gratitude and thanked God for how far he has brought them. In the event of sharing these experiences, memories could not fade out as such experiences remained indelible in their hearts and minds propelling them to burst out emotions and cold feelings. Campus Radio interacting with few students spoke with Mr. Paul Nyarko a Medical Laboratory Science student who disclosed that, “it’s heartbreaking to start with 150 students and with time less than 100 students would be completing and graduating. This was due to referrals and dropping back of which I hope and pray would be a thing of the past. Notwithstanding, I entreat all students to take their studies serious in order to excel in their academics”.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor of UHAS, Professor Theophilus Christian Fleischer who was part of the service was impressed with the chaplaincy and remarked that he would support to ensure that the chaplaincy system in UHAS is strengthened. In his talk delivered to the finalists and other continuing students present, he said “during our time we had the same system of University as run in this modern times, we were not super humans yet we made it great. Finalists in same vein today, are not different from our time and not super humans either. Therefore, you have No Excuse to get to where we have gotten to in life and academia. Elijah was a man like us.” He motivated the congregation by drawing inspiration from the Holy Bible that Bible characters were blessed and elevated because they had focus on God. He admonished that students should also stay focus, trust and obey their maker. He used Joseph as a case study and ended by saying “the top is for everyone, if only you can be like Joseph and remain focused.”
