George Lomotey was appointed as Junior Assistant Registrar at the Registrar’s Office, University of Health and Allied Sciences, on 7th November 2016.
Education He studied Master of Philosophy (Administration in Higher Education) at the University of Cape Coast, he graduated in September 2013. He had earlier obtained a Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences) at the University of Cape Coast in July 2003 and a Higher National Diploma (Marketing) in August 1998.
Work Experience Prior to his appointment at UHAS, he had been a Senior Administrative Assistant and Principal Administrative Assistant between November 2006 to December 2016 at the School of Business and School of Physical Sciences, University of Cape Coast.
He was the Liaison Officer for UCC School of Business Alumni Association between 2009 and 2012. He was also the Federation of University Senior Staff Association Constituency Representative, representing the staff of School of Physical Sciences, UCC. He was the Secretary to the School of Physical Sciences Dean’s Award Committee from February 5, 2015 and Committee for the Assessment of Underground Water at College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, UCC from November 9, 2015 until his appointment.
Administrative /Research output He researched into “The Impact of the Poverty Alleviation Programme on Women at the District Assembly Level in the Shama-Ahanta Metropolitan Assembly” and “Perception of Conditions of Service on Job Satisfaction Among Senior Staff of the University of Cape Coast”.
