PROFILE OF MS. YAA AMANKWAA OPUNI

Ms. Yaa Amankwaa Opuni is a Senior Assistant Registrar, Human Resource, University of Health and Allied Sciences. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree, Management and Secretarial Option, from the University of Education, Winneba, and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Ghana.

As an Assistant Registrar, Human Resource, she is, under the oversight of the Registrar, and Head of the Human Resource Officer responsible for Recruitment, Selection and Separation as well as Performance, Education and Training of Senior Members (Academic and Non-Academic) of the University. Prior to her transfer to the Human Resource Unit, Ms. Opuni was the Assistant Registrar in the Registrar’s Office from September 2012 to January 2017.

She was among the core pioneer Senior Administrative and Professional Staff recruited to assist Management put systems and structures in place for the recruitment of staff and admission of students for the University in 2012. As part of her responsibilities, Ms. Opuni serviced some sub-committees and ad-hoc committees of the University Council and other Committees of the Academic Board. She is a Member of the Volta Regional Advisory Council of the National Media Commission, Patron of Camfed Ghana (UHAS Scholars) and a member of the Peace Council, Volta Region.
