Arc. Franklin Kwame Akumia is a registered architect with the Architects Registration Council of Ghana and an Associate of the Ghana Institute of Architects.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
He started his practice as an Assistant Architect with private Architectural firms ROGGA Consult and Project Logic Consult where he was involved in the design and supervision of the construction of a number of Residential, Commercial, Educational, Industrial and Sports facilities as well as the development of residential and urban planning schemes.
In 2013, he was appointed Chief Works Superintendent (Architecture) in the University of Health and Allied Sciences and was promoted in 2015 to the position of Architect with the responsibility of actualizing all physical infrastructural developments for the University together with other professionals.
Arch. Akumia is passionate about the built environment and a great proponent of sustainable buildings and determined to influence policy for the development of green buildings on the University campus.
