
Dr. Emmanuel Dodzi Anyidoho is the University Council Recorder and Head of Administration at the School of Medicine, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS). He holds a PhD in Education (Management) from the University of South Africa, Pretoria, awarded in 2023. His doctoral work builds upon a robust academic foundation, which includes an MPhil in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Ghana, Legon (2019), a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Management from the University of Education, Winneba (2009), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Resource Development with Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon (2006). He began his professional career in education after earning a Teachers’ Certificate “A” from Accra College of Education in 2002.
Dr. Anyidoho started as a classroom teacher and later served as a tutor at the International Centre for Professional Studies (2008–2011), before transitioning into higher education administration. From 2011 to 2019, he worked as Assistant Registrar and Lecturer at the Entrepreneurship Training Institute in Accra, where he combined academic instruction with administrative oversight.
He joined UHAS in 2019 and has since played a pivotal role in enhancing the University’s administrative systems. As Assistant Registrar and Head of Administration at the Directorate of Quality Assurance (2020–2022), Dr. Anyidoho oversaw key units, including Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Accreditation, and Research and Evaluation. He led university-wide quality initiatives, facilitated programme accreditation processes, and managed the Directorate’s digital presence.
In November 2022, he was appointed Head of the Registrar’s Secretariat and University Council Recorder. In this role, he improved the operational efficiency of the Secretariat, streamlined Council communications, and provided critical support for policy development and institutional coordination.
On August 1, 2024, Dr. Anyidoho assumed his current role as Head of Administration at the School of Medicine, where he oversees all administrative functions. His responsibilities include supervising staff, managing the Dean’s Secretariat, coordinating documentation and reporting systems, and supporting the preparation and execution of the School’s budget. He ensures that all administrative practices align with the UHAS Statutes and the School’s Strategic Plan, fostering a culture of excellence, efficiency, and accountability.
In addition to his administrative leadership, Dr. Anyidoho is also an active scholar. He has published nine (9) peer-reviewed research articles in reputable local and international journals, contributing to academic discourse in the areas of educational leadership, management, and quality assurance in higher education.
Dr. Anyidoho’s blend of scholarly achievement, administrative expertise, and professional integrity continues to make a significant impact on the growth and development of UHAS. His work supports the School of Medicine’s mission to provide world-class medical education and research that addresses national and global health needs.
