School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) of University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho has received a substantial donation of medical laboratory equipment worth about GH¢327,992.22 from Sysmex West and Central Africa Ltd, to enhance teaching, learning and research.
The donated equipment which were received on January 21, 2026, on behalf of the School by the Dean, Professor Samuel Essien-Baidoo, would be installed in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences.
The items donated include: XN-350 RET Haematology Analyser, CA-104 Coagulation Analyser, as well as reagents, quality control materials and other essential laboratory consumables. The equipment is expected to significantly improve students’ practical training and strengthen diagnostic and research capabilities within the Department.
The donation underscores the company’s commitment to supporting health education and capacity building in Ghana, particularly in the area of medical laboratory science.
