Mr. Samuel Forkuo is currently a Senior Systems Analyst at the ICT Directorate of University of Health and Allied Science and Head of Academic Computing Unit. He is responsible for ensuring smooth design and implementation of Academics software. He is also responsible for the management of the students’ database at the Academic Affairs Directorate. He again co-ordinates both student registration and admission process at the University. He holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Prior to his current employment, Mr. Samuel Forkuo served as a Chief Technician at the University of Cape Coast where he managed both the University Software and Hardware at the Student Records and Management Information Section (SRMIS). In 2010 he served as an Instructor at Computer Science Department of KNUST under the supervision of Dr. Michael Asante, then Head of Department teaching Data Communication and Network,
As an individual with passion for computing, Mr. Samuel Forkuo has served as I.T. instructor in a number of institutions including Computer, Networking Intelligence and Research Centre (COMPUNET SERVICES) and Asanteman Senior High School all in Kumasi. He was part of a team of Computer Science students of KNUST who provided free I.T tuition to some basic schools in rural Ghana (mostly in Adansi in Ashanti) between 1999-2003.
Mr. Samuel Forkuo has an interest in areas such as: Curriculum Development and Stress Management among students. He has a publication to that effect.
