Prof. Samuel Essien-Baidoo is a distinguished Associate Professor in Laboratory Medicine and a Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science. He holds a strong academic background in Health Law and Ethics, which complements his extensive expertise in medical laboratory science. His research focuses on the intricate interplay between natural and artificial determinants of adverse health outcomes, particularly in the context of both infectious and non-infectious diseases. Prof. Essien-Baidoo’s work contributes to shaping public policy, ethical frameworks, and law, while also adding to the broader academic discourse on health and disease prevention.

Prof. Essien-Baidoo's research interests are centred on exploring how both environmental and artificial factors contribute to health outcomes, with an emphasis on addressing the complex challenges posed by emerging and chronic diseases.
