The Director General of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), Prof. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai, made a recent visit to the University of Health and Allied Sciences as part of his nationwide tour of tertiary institutions. During his visit, he engaged in extensive discussions with UHAS Management and Union leaders to address concerns and receive inputs aimed at improving the operations of tertiary education.
Additionally, Prof. Jinapor and Prof. Francis K. Nunoo, Director of Tertiary Education at the Ministry of Education, inspected the UHAS ChinaAid Project Phase II. In his official capacity, Prof. Nunoo signed the technical agreement certificate on behalf of the Ministry of Education, thereby formally receiving the completed project from the contractor. Furthermore, he commended the Chinese government and the construction firm for delivering a "world-class edifice."
Professor Nunoo stressed the significance of implementing a proactive maintenance scheme at UHAS to ensure the longevity of the new facilities.
