The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has successfully concluded its Third Research Conference, held from October 21 to 23, 2025, at the University’s Main Campus, Sokode-Lokoe, Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana.  
The conference opened with a ceremony on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the University’s Cedi Auditorium and ended with another ceremony on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the same venue.

The Department of Midwifery at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has successfully concluded its maiden Breast Cancer Awareness Month celebration, leading a month-long initiative that championed education, screening and advocacy in the fight against breast cancer.
Throughout October 2025, the Department organised activities under the theme “Stronger Together: Uniting Efforts for Prevention and Support”, presenting a series of events that educated, engaged and empowered both the university community and the general public.

Stakeholders from the health, education and development sectors have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening adolescent sexual and reproductive health education during the National Dissemination of the Baseline Findings of the Project: Co-Creating Contextually Appropriate Reproductive Health Education Teaching Approaches for 9–15-Year-Old Learners in the Upper East Region of Ghana (CATALYST), held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at TomReik Hotel in Accra, Ghana. 

The IMAGINE Ghana project was officially launched at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) during a two-day IMAGINE Ghana Project Kickoff workshop, held on September 15 and 16, 2025, to address the dual burden of physical and mental health challenges faced by some of Ghana's most vulnerable communities.

A delegation from Columbia University School of Nursing interacted with the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Management on Wednesday, September 17 and Friday, September 19, 2025 as part of capacity development collaboration efforts between Columbia University School of Nursing and UHAS School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM). 
The international collaboration is aimed at nursing exchange programmes, as catalysts for global health, equity and cultural competencies in research, nursing and midwifery education.

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Network engaged selected stakeholders in discussing ways to train, mentor and increase the participation of girls in STEM subjects at all levels of Ghana’s education ladder.

As part of efforts to strengthen research capacity and foster multidisciplinary research collaboration in combating NTDs, the Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) of Institute of Health Research (IHR) at University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) partnered the Department of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicine at UHAS School of Pharmacy (SOP) in a day’s workshop, held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the University’s Central Administration Block at Sokode-Lokoe, Ho. 

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, commissioned a suite of new facilities and initiatives designed to strengthen teaching, practical orientation, community service and research.
