It is my pleasure to warmly welcome you to the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR). At DHR, we believe that our people are our greatest asset and the success and achievement of the strategic objectives of the University are largely dependent on the commitment and dedication of our people. In this respect, DHR, through the Performance Management System, ensures that our people align their performance targets with the overarching university strategic objectives. 

 

We are dedicated to creating an agile and enabling work environment that respects and empowers every staff member to perform at their best. Through strategic human resource policies, technology-driven processes, continuous learning opportunities and a strong culture of performance, we strive to ensure that every employee contributes their quota towards achieving the University’s mission and vision.

Overview

The Directorate of Human Resource of the University of Health and Allied Sciences plays a strategic role in supporting the achievement of the University’s vision. The Directorate is responsible for developing and implementing human resource policies, systems and best practices that attract, develop, motivate and retain a competent and dedicated workforce.

 

The Directorate is strategy-focused and works closely with units across the University to ensure that staff performance and departmental targets are aligned with the broader institutional goals. 

 

The Directorate adopts contemporary human resource practices and leverages modern technology to enhance staff performance, improve employee experience and ensure efficient service delivery across the University. We deliberately instill in our employees an understanding and demonstration of our core values – Integrity, Excellence, Innovation and; Service and Care, which guide our professional conduct.

 

The Directorate provides services in four (4) broad areas, namely: Recruitment, Promotion and Separation (RPS); Performance, Education and Training PET); Compensation and Benefits (C&B/HRIS).
