The Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants inaugurated its Volta regional branch during the institute’s Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) programme held on July 3 at SkyPlus Hotel in Ho.

Elected members of the new branch were inducted to run affairs of the professional body in the Volta region. They include Mr. Anthony Asempah, President; Ms. Victoria Fato, Vice President; Mr. Israel Tordzro Agudze, Secretary; and Mr. Johnson Azorlibu, Assistant Secretary. The rest are Mr. Nurudeen Issaka Idrisu, Treasurer; Mr. Richard Osei-Yaw, Branch Webmaster; and Ms. Lily Adu-Aboagye, Continuing Professional Development Coordinator. All the above, except the vice president, are administrators at UHAS.

Inaugurating the Executive, Mr. Paul Hammond, Board Chairman of the institute, called for the support of all members to ensure that the branch gains root and other practising administrators and management consultants are brought on board.

Dr. Cynthia Sena Kpeglo, Registrar of UHAS and Mr. David Worlanyo Adzovie, Director of Human Resources at UHAS, were inducted as Professional Fellows of the institute. They were decorated with sashes and given certificates and citations.

The institute also held a week’s training programme for its members from June 29 to July 5. The trainers included Prof. Seth Buatsi, Chairman of the Ethics Committee, CIAMC; Prof. Oswald Seneadza, Law faculty at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; and Prof. Wisdom Gagakuma, a Management Consultant and Organizational Development Expert, who is the Vice Chairman of the CIAMC Board.

Also among the trainers were Ing. Ben Richard Aniagyei, a Health and Safety expert; Mr. Kwamena Agyekum, Executive Director of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG); Mr. David Adzovie, Director of Human Resources, UHAS; and Mr. Mawusi Asafo, CEO of CIAMC.
