Applications are received from both Ghanaian and Foreign applicants. Foreign academic records must be translated into English and then submitted to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for evaluation.
International applicants are advised to contact the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission in Accra, Ghana for detailed interpretation of their results. All foreign certificates must receive authentication and equivalencies from Ghana Tertiary Education Commission.
All certificates in other languages must be translated into English.
Upon admission, International applicants should note that by the Laws of Ghana, they are expected to obtain Non-Citizen Ghana card before they can be enrolled for courses offered at the University. Therefore, after being offered admission, all International applicants should contact the Office of Interntional Programmes for assistance on how to obtain a Ghana card.

Entry Requirements
Certificate Entry:
Successful candidates from the 2024/2025 Access Course are eligible to apply for admission into Level 200
Diploma Entry:
Applicants must have certificates awarded by Accredited Institutions.
Applicants with a diploma in any Environmental Health discipline may apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Environmental Health option).
Applicants with a diploma in Community Mental Health/Mental Health/Nursing (General/Psychiatry Nursing and Midwifery) discipline may apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Mental Health option).
Applicants with Diploma in Disease Control, Nutrition, Health Promotion or Health Information may also apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Mental Health option).
Level of Entry
Diploma holders whose Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) is between 1.50 and 1.99 will be considered for admission into Level 200.
Those whose Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) is 2.0 and above will be considered for admission into Level 300.
2. School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM)

Entry Requirements
Certificate Entry:
Successful candidates from the 2024/2025 Access Course are eligible to apply for admission into Level 200.
However, successful candidates who seek to be admitted into a programme apart from that in which they are certified may be admitted into Level 100.
Diploma Entry:
Applicants MUST hold the following qualifications from institutions accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Ghana.
Diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery or Public Health Nursing/Registered Community Health Nursing.
Post NAC/NAP Midwifery applicants will progress in the field of Midwifery if they have a Diploma and are exempted from writing the Licensing Examination.
Level of Entry
The point of entry will be Level 300.
Applicants who seek to be admitted into a programme apart from that in which they are certified may be admitted into Level 200 and must write the Licensing Examination by the NMC.
Applicants whose Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) is between 1.50 and 1.99 will be considered for admission into Level 200.
Short-listed applicants may be required to attend a selection interview.
3. School of Allied Health Science (SAHS)
Programmes:

Entry Requirements
• Bachelor of Dietetics
Diploma Holders
Applicants with any Professional Diploma in Nutrition/Dietetic Technology from accredited institutions with FGPA of not less than 2.0 and who is licensed by the Allied Health Professions Council shall be admitted to Level 300.
Degree Holders
Applicants with first degree in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, or related fields from accredited institutions with FGPA of not less than 2.0 shall be admitted to Level 300.
BTECH/HND/Diploma in Hospitality Management and related fields
Applicants with BTECH/HND/Diploma in Hospitality Management from accredited institutions with FGPA of not less than 2.0 shall be admitted to Level 200.
• Doctor of Medical Laboratory Sciences:
Applicants who hold Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science or B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science may be admitted into the Programme at Level 500 (2 Years duration).
Relevant Science-Based Bachelor’s degree from a GTEC Accredited Institution may be admitted to level 300 of the programme (4 Years Duration).
Diploma/HND in Medical Laboratory Science awarded by a GTEC Accredited institutions may be admitted to Level 300 of the programme (4 Years Duration).
HND (Science Laboratory Technology) awarded by a GTEC/NABTEX Accredited
institutions will be admitted to Level 200 of the programme (5 Years Duration).
For all the above qualifications, an FGPA of 2.5 or above would be an advantage.
• Bachelor of Orthotics and Prosthetics
Applicants with Diploma in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related discipline awarded by an accredited institution with FGPA of 2.0 and above.
Applicants must have not less than three years of certified practice in Orthotics and Prosthetics and related discipline.
Successful candidates will be admitted onto the programme at Level 300.
Candidates with other relevant diploma shall be admitted into the programme at Level 200.
• Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or Diploma certificate from accredited institutions.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: Physiotherapy Assistantship, Orthotic and Prosthetics Assistantship or Occupational therapy Assistantship.
Applicants must have practiced in their chosen fields for at least three (3) years.
Applicants should have a minimum FGPA of 2.0.
Applicants may be required to pass an entrance examination/interview.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION PICTURE
a. The intended admission Picture must be taken on a white background with both ears showing and without shadow at the background
b. For religious purpose, scarfs are allowed but both ears must be exposed in the picture.
c. Wearing of glasses / shades are not allowed, except for medical purpose, clear glasses revealing the eyes are permitted.
d. The Picture should have a dimensions of 300 x 360 pixels (1 x 1.2inches), resolution of 300, JPEG file format and a size not more than 400 kilobytes.

Applicants should note that the picture used in the admission process will appear on all subsequent files, documents and portals (Student identity card) when admitted as a student of University of Health and Allied Sciences.
