FRED N. BINKA SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH (Hohoe Campus)
Programmes:

Entry Requirements:
a) Certificate Entry:
Successful candidates from the 2024 Access Course are eligible to apply for admission into Level 200.
b) Diploma Entry:
Diploma awarded by Accredited Health Institutions.
Applicants with a two or three-year diploma in any Environmental Health discipline may apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Environmental Health option).
Applicant with a two or three-year diploma in Community Mental Health/Mental Health/Nursing (General/Psychiatry Nursing and Midwifery) discipline may apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Mental Health option).
Applicants with Diploma in Disease Control, Nutrition, Health Promotion or Health Information may also apply for Bachelor of Public Health (Mental Health option).
Level of Entry
Diploma holders whose Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) is between 1.50 and 1.99 will be considered for admission into Level 200.
Those whose Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) is 2.0 and above will be considered for admission into Level 300.
The Deadline for completion of the online application form is June 28, 2024.
School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONAM)
Programmes:

- Bachelor of Midwifery
- Bachelor of Public Health Nursing
Entry Requirements:
a) Certificate Entry:
Successful candidates from the 2023 Access Course are eligible to apply for admission into Level 200.
However, successful candidates who seek to be admitted into a programme apart from that in which they are certified may be admitted into Level 100.
b) Diploma Entry:
Applicants MUST have certificates from institutions accredited by Nursing and Midwifery Council, Ghana.
Applicants must hold a Diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery or Public Health Nursing/Registered Community Health Nursing.
Post NAC/NAP Midwifery applicants will progress in the field of Midwifery if they have a diploma and are exempted from writing the Licensing Examination.
Short-listed applicants may be required to attend a selection interview.
Level of Entry
The point of entry will be Level 300.
Diploma holders whose Final Cumulative Grade Point Average (FCGPA) is between 1.50 and 1.99 will be considered for admission into Level 200.
Diploma holders seeking to be admitted into a programme apart from that in which they are certified may be admitted into Level 200 and MUST write the Licensing Examination.
SCIENCES (ACCESSS COURSE / SANDWICH) – HO CAMPUS
Access Course in the School of Allied Health Sciences is an eight (8) week programme to enable interested applicants with Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (for Medical Laboratory Sciences); HND in Hospitality Management (for Dietetics) and Certificate in Orthotics or Physiotherapy Assistantship (for Physiotherapy) from accredited institutions to enroll into degree programmes (Sandwich). Applicants with FGPA of not less than 2.5 with a minimum of three (3) years certified working experience, will enter degree programmes through an eight (8) week Access Course in the School of Allied Health Sciences.
Successful Candidates from the Access Course, would be required to pass a selection interview and enroll at Level 200 of the Sandwich Programme in the following year (to take place from May - September, 16 weeks each year) .
Programmes to be enrolled in, on successful completion of the access course, and selection interview are:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Bachelor of Dietetics
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
The Access Course in the SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES will run for 8 weeks from March 21, 2020 to May 16, 2020 at Worawora.
SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES (SAHS)
Entry Requirements:
Bachelor of Dietetics
a) Diploma Holders:
Applicants with any Professional Diploma in Nutrition/Dietetic Technology from recognized institutions with FGPA of not less than 2.5 and is licensed by the Allied Health Professions Council shall be admitted to Level 300.
b) BTECH/HND/Diploma in Hospitality Management and related fields:
Applicants with BTECH/HND/Diploma in Hospitality Management from recognized institutions with FGPA of not less than 2.5 shall be admitted to Level 200.
c) Degree Holders:
Applicants with first degree in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, or related fields from recognized institutions with FGPA of not less than 2.5 shall be admitted to Level 300.
Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences
a) Certificate Entry:
Successful candidates from the 2024 Access Course are eligible to apply for admission into Level 200.
b) Diploma Holders:
Applicants with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science awarded by an Accredited institution with at least two (2) years of certified professional practice in Medical Laboratory Science may be admitted to Level 300 of the programme.
Applicants with HND (Science Laboratory Technology) awarded by a CTVET/NABTEX accredited institutions with a minimum of two (2) years working experience in the laboratory setting will be admitted to Level 200 of the programme.
Applicants who satisfy the above requirements MUST have in addition a CGPA of 2.5 and above or second-class lower division.
c) Degree Holders:
Applicants with relevant Science-Based Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited Institution with at least two (2) years of certified professional practice in Medical Laboratory Science may be admitted to Level 300 of the programme.
Bachelor of Orthotics and Prosthetics
Applicants with Diploma in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related discipline awarded by an accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 and above.
Applicants must have not less than three years of certified practice in Orthotics and Prosthetics and related discipline.
Successful candidates will be admitted onto the programme at Level 300.
Candidates with other relevant diplomas shall be admitted into the programme at
Level 200.
